Awesome Lens! I am on the notify list at BHphotovideo.com when they get it in stock. Is that version I or II ? I'm waiting on version II. Gotta admit I'm jelly right now.

Shit, is this a photography forum? It's really a photography forum, isn't it?

I can shoot a gun. I can't however, take a picture to save my ass.

I didn't know their were two versions but I'm assuming it's version I. I bought it refurbished from Canon. I've only taken a few photos with it but I can already tell a distinct difference. Now I just need a new body and a better lighting setup and I'll be set!

Haha Joelski, learn how to use a camera and you'll love it! Shooting a camera is a hell of a lot cheaper than shooting a gun that's for sure...

Not a lot of differences in the new version, but I'm sort of a geek on new stuff . When I was looking at B&H on the lens, the new version came up - but not available yet. I am going to wait it out. Maybe it will help

Amazing to see how many photographers we've encouraged around here.
There are some bad ass photographers here, at least in the product photography category. That's for sure.

All those pictures though have ended up costing me a fortune though.

This place is an advertiser's wet dream.

I need to try and apply some of my photography skills to my gun collection while I still have the chance.

Damn close guess Jerry! This model is marked A.S.E with a sale around 1942. May have proceeded the introduction of the silver pigeon line by a few years. I have some research done by the previous owner but I still need to contact Beretta and see what info they can give me.

*edit* The sleuths at shotgun world forums are helping me with finding more identifying information so at this point, I may not even be correct on the model.

Looks like a ASE 90 with field grade wood. Perhaps one of the rumored "lost receiver" shotguns?
