    Is that the first piece?
The best way to survive a violent encounter is to be the one inflicting the most violence.

Well, it seems that after a two week nap, my USPS item will be arriving today. My irritation still overrides my relief, and at the very least, the P.O. should refund UW's 3 Day Priority mail fee for this blunder.

Well let's see if there is anything inside the package. A few years back USPS delivered to me an empty tube.

Sinner, do you like it so far? Kind of cool that the two legs come off and can be used as trekking poles or as a monopod with the ballhead. I played around with one of these at the USASOC competition earlier this year, but it's not the same as owning and using one.

So many gun parts I still need, but cutlery will always be my kryptonite.

I wasn't ignoring you, I wanted to actually use the tripod. I used it with a Hog Saddle this weekend and it worked flawlessly. Pretty much an equal to my Swarovski tripod that cost double what the NF did. Briefly used the monopod also with equally positive results. As for the walking stick options they seem serviceable in a pinch but I don't expect to stop using my LEKI micro's anytime soon.

Overall pleased with the tripod. Really the only downside is that it uses Arca style plates and not the Manfrotto QD style.

No worries, thanks for the feedback. While manfrotto plates are popular in the firearms industry, arca swiss is considered the industry standard for photo/video, and has much wider acceptance worldwide. RRS has a super nice set of 1913/m-lok/keymod arca swiss mounts. Also some arca swiss adapters for various bolt gun chassis.

I may have to snag one of the NF tripods, as I hate to risk my Gitzo/RRS setup for use in the field. I might still drop my RRS head on the NF legs, but want to see how the NF ballhead compares (I know it won't be as nice, but it might be sturdy enough).
