Which holster do you prefer for concealed carry?

I've primarily open carried, or used a clip draw with my Glocks as they don't conceal well for me. I know a lot of guys who like the Kingtuk, and would like to hear what you guys use, especially in T-shirt weather.

I picked up a shield with the intention of carrying more often, but the choices out there are too much for my ADD. I literally would rather go play in the creek and catch snakes than sort through all of the choices!

I'm, 6'-3", fairly slim and normally wear jeans, or pocket pants, polos, or t-shirts. I'd love to hear what you guys use in order to avoid piling on baggy clothes, or wearing jackets constantly. Thanks and let'r rip!

For a small pistol, like a Shield or XDs, I really like a minimalist Kydex holster like Cook's: http://www.cooksholsters.com/iwb-hol...ble-belt-clip/

I like it, but I have reservations about appendix carry thanks to videos of guys with glocks shooting themselves in the leg, hence "Glock Leg". My fear with appendix carry is glock dick! :D I suppose that goes away with time and putting complete faith in the safety system, but the methods I've used, I haven't had to. I guess I just need to jump out the plane, so-to-speak, a few times to get used to it!

I use one from this guy... IWB Tuckable....made with horsehide, not regular cow leather...

    https://theisholsters.com/holsters.php

Except mine is brown (not black) (not dyed). I guess he's not offering horse hide anymore.

There are dozens of people that make em... but those designs work very very well.

That said it all depends on HOW you carry. For comfort... look above to that style. If you are going in and out of places and having to take your gun off all the time... there might be better choices...

I've also seen these and they seem to work pretty good depending on other stuff. You still need a solid belt and all that.

I am not sure if I would carry with it all day, but I can put one of those on and jump around and the gun stays put. I have not given it the sweaty test yet though.

I also have a bunch of stuff from these guys:

Definitely premium quality top notch stuff.

    The full pancake holster (below)

Would be almost invisible with a small gun like my 938 even carrying outside the waistband.

For bigger guns those holsters are less concealable.

Carry about 4:00 and you can have Glock ass as well. Sure beats Glock dick.

I have a full-on kydex facility in my workshop, but I've become a big fan of leather pancakes. I would never open carry, but a DeSantis Speed Scabbard OWB with a low-profile single-stack 9mm (Walther PPS) under a jacket, fleece, or sweatshirt works great. For summer, more likely a 5.11 holster shirt under a regular shirt works well.

Please stahp with the leather and hybrids....

JM custom makes a great aiwb holster.

Anyone can make a solid iwb strong side holster.

Neoprene wedges are going to be the next big "holster accessory"

If you like appendix carry, I have a buddy that has this holster from Urban Carry. He's a big fan, and I must say it appears to work very well.

We are legally able to carry openly in Texas this January 1st. I won't, but my brother and I were thinking of getting OWB holsters and just covering with untucked shirts. Any recommendations on OWBs? Something snug.

I second the JM custom holsters. I've migrated my OWB kydex holsters to JM over the past year or so.

OWB @ 3 o'clock and the rare pocket holstered snubbie when mowing or just too lazy. 90% kydex with leather pancakes for the 1911s. IWB so far has just been unbearable for me. As an old guy with a little bit of a belly I can conceal fine with a button shirt out and acceptable with a baggy tee. A loose polo is best for quick access. Navy seems to be least noticeable. Avoid the strechy form fitting types. We don't have "printing" paranoia in MN so YMMV.

I had that Thiess tuckable for my skinny PPS and it was the least uncomfortable IWB I tried. I have high hopes for a similar styled horsehide/kydex OWB on order from White Hat.*http://www.whitehatholsters.com/owb-...ack-horsehide/

I don"t remember who made my favorite OWB kydex for my usual G19. Tried 3-4 and stuck with the one that felt best. Some angle the butt outward too much or don't conform as well to waist curve. Going to be dependent on body shape.

Leather 1911 pancakes are my favorites for occasional carry. My 5" govt prints less than the Glock and is so comfy.
    Lobo best so far.*http://www.lobogunleather.com/3_model_1_pancake_holster
Tucker HF1 best looking, but still too stiff to know if it will supplant the Lobo.
