Allright I got a request for a pic or 2...Someone help me and my OCD out..

-Looking to see how one of these GFY uppers mates up with a rainier mod 3 lower, looking at parts to finish the battlekitty build


-Also I have a smos sm12 mlok rail sitting here and curious if it matches up with there upper as the Gfy rail does to the Gfy upper as in the pic below?

If I were a betting man.... I would bet that it would line up well.
You can see with their SM uppers that they add the "flare". The shape of the SM rail is quite similar to the the GFY.

You can use my image even though the lighting sucks... Chris needed more lights lol.

SMOS specifically designed their pre GFY receivers with the rail in mind. As pictured above you can see they machine the uppers to match the rail. It would match on a Rainier lower about as well as any other forged upper I would imagine.

I do have a Mod3 lower, but haven't made any major AR purchases in quite some time, so I don't have any SMOS stuff laying around to put on the lower.

I like mine small, slightly transparent and unobtrusive. I tried the huge watermark and didn't like it.

Yes the SM15 rail lines up with the GFY upper. The bump out on the SM15 is like the one on the SMOS quad. The SM15 upper (discontinued) also lines up perfectly with the GFY rails.

Love the chopped MK8 rail. Did you remove the left rotation tab too?

Seeing your update on holtworks account got me thinking.... put this together today. I didn't expect the falkor rail to match up so well with the GFY.

Both tabs are actually still in place, just shaved down on the inside.

And that's sick! I've been wanting that rail since last year's shot... It's unfortunate that it's still not available as a stand alone part.

Thanks. Actually, I bought the rail as a stand alone. I called them and they did the transaction on the phone. Maybe they'll do the same for you.

Best thing about the Podavach loaders and stands - they don't cost nearly what they look like they should.
