Don't you have to basically melt off red loctite with high heat? (I'm asking not telling)... just wondering if red loctite is something to look into....not that I have a rail (yet) that would need it.
I would not use red loctite personally on anything AR related.

That was the exact same impression/thought that I had too so when I saw his post I was like 'hang on a minute...isn't that stuff permanent?'

After blue locktite and Rocksett failed to keep the screws tight in a NSR I started using red locktite on them. Place the Allen key in the screw and hit the key with a pencil torch and they come right out. 271 has a melt failure temperature rating of only 500*. It's only a homeowner grade locking compound after all.

I hear these suckers shoot pretty nicely. Just got a 10.3" one of these and I'm eager to try it out!

Although I will likely pick a SMOS barrel up, I don't see it shooting much differently than my existing Rock Creek barrels. Having said that RC barrels shoot pretty well as long as the shooter does his job.

Just had a brief conversation with Eric tonight, so just a few details.

    12.5 mid
    10.5, 12.5 carbine
    14.5, 16 mid
    18 intermediate

18 Lilja, and I believe the rest are RC.

I need a 12.5 middy and likely grab a Lilja.
