A little trick for AR jams...
I don't know if any of you boys do this, but in case anyone isn't familiar with this technique, I wanted to put it out there for consumption. I keep about a three foot length of Mule Tape in my pistol grip with a slip knot tied on one end and an improved clinch knot on the other end. When you get a casing good and jammed up into the chamber, you loop the big end around your boot, and put the slip-knot around the charging hand, then jerk your rifle in an upward motion. It's best to have a good strong charging handle for this method, but it's never failed to clear even the most troublesome jams for me. I hope this is useful to some of you. Thanks.
Errata: I should caveat that for safeties sake you should remove the magazine before-hand. I don't think anyone here doesn't know that, but in the interest of being safe and thorough. Also, you need to have the extractor upgrade in your bolt. Ok.Last edited by DUX; 21 March 2016 at 08:25.
