    Tactical Tailor MAV 2 Piece

I was asked by agentcox000 for some more pictures of my Tactical Tailor MAV (Modular Assault Vest) 2 Piece, so here they are. A few notes: I replaced the standard harness with the "X" harness, added a 5.56 triple mag pouch, a multi-purpose pouch, a multi-tool pouch, a grimloc with flexcuffs, and a "POLICE" panel on the front and back. The "POLICE" panels are attached with "hook and pile" (velcro) tape and can be ripped off if need be. The rear "POLICE" panel lies on top of a custom piece of velcro that was attached by Tactical Tailor, as was the piece of velcro on the front of the multi-purpose pouch, which I have an "O NEG" and red cross patches on. I also attached a Ka-bar large TDI knife behind the multi-purpose pouch. In the pictures I tried to show how I set my pouches up and how I still have functional use of my duty belt and how I can draw my handgun without problems.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Great series of images, it shows nicely that you can still access your entire batbelt. With my heavy armor, I am certainly a little more restricted. With my LBV, there are no problems, but I think the MAV may still be a better evolution for me.

    great pics !
    Thanks

not trying to be a smart ass, but if you index your prim. mags , have you tried putting them in the mag pouches facing the other direction? that way you wont have to brak your wrist and have a faster reload. (or do you beercan them?

Venom - I don't see your comment as being SA'd, but rather a good point. I have used that set up of my mags for a while, including when I was PSD in Iraq. That is the way that I started carrying them, and had never given it a thought of changing it. My thought was if it works, go with it.

I changed it around this morning to try your suggestion out. In reality, I like your way better and I can see how it can make my reloads faster. I will need to change my muscle memory, but that isn't something that will take too long to adapt to.

Thanks for the suggestion. And we are all learning on a daily basis to make ourselves better in what we do. If you have a valid suggestion, it is not being SA'd, but trying to help others become more proficient.

If I hadn't ordered my Tactical Tailor MAV 2 piece already.. I would be sold. Also had ordered the X-Harness as well. I also bought the same magazine holder... :)

What are the items between the 3 mag pouch and the velcro Police label? (There' 4 of them, 2 each on the outer mag pouch on picture 1)

They are called MALICE Clips. Follow the links to see more and get a more defined description.

Wow.. I've seen the pictures of that on Tactical Tailor, but I wouldn't have guessed that they looked that big.. TT pictures make it look very narrow.. just to show pictures can be deceiving. Thanks for the info.

We've been looking at a similar setup. We however have a need for a radio carrier (Motorola) and shotshells as well.

I like the way you put the panels on there. We mostly work in civies and our biggest fear is unintended or friendly fire by other officers from other agencies who don't know who we are.

If there is one thing about WEVO that stands head and shoulders above the rest of the field, it is the uncompromisingly high quality of our imagery -- and you've just strengthend our case in that regard, z7o. Well done.
