Dave, I'm just wondering how you tightened the castle nut. People at the show were taking bets that it wasn't torqued enough.
Judging by how beat up the castle nut is, I'm guessing whatever wrench you used, slipped more than a few times.

I torque nothing. Seriously, I've never bothered to torque anything. I wrench it down, go a little further and call it good. Originally Posted by UWone77

This particular castle nut has been on a few extensions. It's so beat up because I couldn't get it off when I had the Mega lower. It was ON there.
I plan on ordering a new one, actually. Never realized just how beat up it looked until I saw saw the full size banner of it... lol.
