Hard to go wrong with a vintage Strider. Here's a small group of older ARs and GBs.

I have been training with and collecting knives for many years. I currently EDC a Blackhawk Blades "Be-Wharned" designed by my friend and instructor, Michael Janich. In addition to that I carry a Blackhawk Kalista (fixed blade) and a Spyderco Delica. The kalista and be Wharned are dedicated personal defense tools while the delica is used for everyday chores.

Well over the years I have carried averything from a, Buck folder, SOG StingRay, to the Spyderco line as well as numerous brand "multi-tools". Currently I carry either a Benchmade McHenry & Williams 710 SBK or a Benchmade 9100 SBK. Both of these knives deserve not to have photos posted as they are hard worked knives.

Alright...this thread has quickly become knife porn!
John, I have read some very good things about the ZT 300 series. I love the looks of that knife! Slightly Strider influenced but looks very well made and tough! I am curious of what you think after using for a while! I'm thinking I may need a new blade!
As for my knives...nothing too exciting.
On duty: CRKT M16 w/ tanto blade
I have used this knife for over ten years without ever needing to resharpen. For a cheap knife it can't be beat!
SWAT: Buck Strider FB G10 Handle ComboEdge
It maybe slightly bigger than what I need but it has been with me for 5 years of kickin doors and hasn't failed yet! This thing is bomb proof and far cheaper in price than an actual Strider!
TDB (Tactical Dad Bag):Gerber 45860 Air Ranger Serrated Edge Knife
This knife is such a smooth opener that it gets carried everywhere! Thin and easy to open make it a frequent carrier!
Firearms training: Buck 889 SBMF Strider Military folder
This knife has a great feel and looks even better! I love the OD handle as well!Adversity introduces us to ourselves

Everyday carry is a inexpensive kershaw and a leatherman sideclip:

I still carry a Sebenza, but I have a lot of Emersons too. As far as their production knives go, CRK blows Emerson out of the proverbial H2O, but for the money Emersons are very nice.

I used to carry an Emerson but since I bought a Masters of Defense years ago, it is my constant companion. On duty or in the ocean, it's with me. I like the Dieter and the smaller Dieter II versions, both serrated and automatic.

If I were to carry, I would carry my Spyderco serrated edge blade due to it's great at cutting ability on seat belts, rope, etc. It's ability to open with ease with one hand, and very sharp for defending myself, if needed.
I don't carry due to not knowing the laws of WA state yet on this. Being from CA originally, this would have been illegal for me to carry.

A little light reading for you on WA State Law: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.250
WA does not have a preemption clause for knives (as it does for firearms), which leaves it wide open for local jurisdictions to craft their own local ordinances. I haven't come across any WA laws that prohibit the carrying of serrated blades specifically. Seattle Municipal code has an unusual ban on all fixed blade knives. Many have a blade length limit set to a maximum of 3.5".

i recently got one of these... it's huge. i wouldn't think it a daily carry "at the office."
but if you were doin' some real work the quality is amazing. lock up is very solid and the blade has no slop in the hinge. i was surprised at how sharp it was too, i'm used to my fallkniven and my benchmades... didn't expect to be impressed.
edit: just to add i think this knife was secretly made for lefties. if you do a one hand close with your left hand it automatically forces all your fingers out of the way, whereas if you to it with the right thumb you have to consciously move your fingers out of the way (i know who'd close their blade on a bunch of fingers, but just a lil bonus for us lefties out there)
