    Magpul vs. BCM "A5/Rifle" extensions

My Magpul rifle extension (10 position) arrived today. I had already procured BCM's version.

-BCM weighed 4.0oz, and the Magpul weighs 4.3oz.
-The Magpul appears to have a dry-film type coating inside. The BCM does not.
-The Magpul, as seen below, appears to be machined much more smoothly inside.

I am sure they will both perform their intended purposes, but the Magpul is likely to have less "scritching" noises.

I have found the BCM extensions to be much louder. "Scritching" is a very good word for it. :)

LMT still makes the best ones, in my opinion. If you want A5 length you can use their MWS extension, too. Dry film lube, very smooth ID, and drain holes.

Hopefully the Magpul ones will have a street price in the $30 range to stay competitive. It would put it right in the middle of BCM and LMT pricing.

I've purchased all mine from DSG Arms. They also take backorders.

Fit/finish, is it noisy compared to a generic tube, how's the finis h, how well is it wearing, do you give your gear a workout, etc...

It's billed as "maritime" quality, does it walk the talk?

Basically a review is what I'd like, I guess.

Operation parts almost always have them. They currently have 7 in stock.
