Vltor Freedom rail
What do you all make of the new Vltor Freedom rail?

It looks rock solid and is also aesthetically pleasing, but seems to carry a bit of heft. Was thinking about picking one up but am on the fence. Anybody here running one or have one in their hands?

Heavy indeed. I just installed the SLR Helix 15" on my lightweight build and it's half the weight of the 15" Vltor. I will say that if their rail is anything like the rest of their products it will be ready for whatever is thrown at it.

While I don't like the look of the portion around the barrel nut, it looks built well. I would expect it to be GTG from VLTOR. Looks like you won't have to time the nut.
