KAK 12.5" with midlength gas. Opinions please.

I have a 14.5" BCM middy I plan to cut down to 12.5".

With the idea of having a small gas port you can modify?

The port isn't that small. The bigger question is this. What does the port size need to be on a 12.5" midlength in order for it to function properly? Is it going to be suppressed all the time? What does the 12.5" mid offer over a 12.5" carbine gas system that is ported correctly?
