Should have called it the Hornet.

For some reason I see this weapon being a total fail. Likely because who really cares that it is a striker fired 1911 style trigger. I honestly expected more after all the hype.

Who the hell ever they are, they spammed my inbox today!
Didn't a Hudson somethingorother team up with Bond Arms on a failed pocket pistol in the recent past? There's no "Team" in F**K YOU!

I want to care so bad. In fact I've worked on a mildly similar project off and on.
Here's the problem as I see it. You have this and the Avidity thing coming out this year. Both supposed to Glock-ify the 1911, or 1911 the Glock or something.
The Avidity looks very practical and less than half the expected price of this Edsel, er Hudson..
To replace the venerable G19 for me personally, no matter how great it is on paper, it's going to need a solid real-world track record built.
R51 anyone?

I'm actually interested in this just because its a little different.
I'm guessing they aren't going to be manufacturing in large numbers so the price point seems pretty reasonable, considering how proprietary and weird this thing is.
Also curious to see what the final production models look like in terms of fit, finish and materials, and how far the internals really differ from an 1911 in function.

It's different, that's for sure. It would have to really "wow" me to shell out that kind of coin for one, though.

The only way this thing will sell is if enough people say "holy crap it's stable for follow-ups due to the low bore axis!"
That is its one potential killer feature, IMO
How killer it is, remains to be seen.
Given the size and weight, I view it as a "gamer gun". If it shaves a few tenths off of splits...

I think the Russians hacked the design software.

Speaking of Russia, what ever happened to the Strike One?
