Daniel Defense, manufacturer of firearms and accessories, will break ground on a new quarter-million square foot facility at 10 a.m. Nov. 28 at 1650 Oracal Parkway, Ellabell. The event will include owners Cindy and Marty Daniel, local city officials and builders and financiers affiliated with the project. The ceremony represents the start of construction for the $29.5 million project, which will create an estimated 75 new jobs and is scheduled to finish the summer of 2017.

“We’re excited about physically breaking ground on our new facility, as it will play a big role in helping us increase efficiencies in manufacturing and day-to-day operations, which is good for the company and our customers,” said Daniel Defense president/CEO Marty Daniel.
“It also represents the creation of many new jobs and overall growth for the company—which is good for Bryan County and the local economy.”

Daniel Defense has been located in Bryan County since 2009, when the company moved operations from Chatham County. A second Daniel Defense facility is currently located in Ridgeland, S.C., but with the completion of the new Black Creek facility, Ridgeland operations will move into that building, consolidating all of the company’s operations into one central location. The new Black Creek property has ample room for future expansion, and “Phase II” expansion plans currently include construction of another 255,000 plus square foot building.

    ABOUT DANIEL DEFENSE
Located in Black Creek Daniel Defense manufactures firearms, rail systems and accessories. President/CEO Marty Daniel founded Daniel Defense, which started out creating rails and accessories for the AR-15 platform in small batches. Today, with two locations and a combined 137,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Daniel Defense continues to make rails and accessories and firearms for civilian, law enforcement and military customers.

Seems like availability of DD stuff has been sparse lately and they all but killed their Ambush line. The move/transition might help explain why.

I'm guessing the MIL contracts have ramped up. No RIS II Rails avail commercially except on complete guns/uppers. Like Boiler has stated a lot of their line has been out of stock consistently.
