Mule Men Old School build

I'm working off a SMOS Gen 1 lower with the "grants pass" rollmark.

Builder set completed with
*SMOS SM15 gen 2 upper
*SMOS GFY 12" mlok handguard

Goal: To build a short (compliant) old school tool rifle for the field in OD.

Barrel: BA 14" 556 with pinned Dead Air brake (brake is 2.6" making barrel compliant with timing shim).

I'll update as it evolves.

Changed up color scheme and went with FH instead of muzzle brake. Getting weary of brakes at the moment.

Axlnut mixed up a custom color in cerakote elite. Finished the upper today. I think an FDE raptor is needed.

I don't know what color Axlnut would call it. The pic is a pretty accurate representation of it. I'm not even sure if the FDE goes with it or clashes since I'm color deficient in some of these tones.

UW said he was getting out of the platform. :)

The set above is the SM15 gen 1. I think UW has the gen 2 with the horse on the right side of the receiver.
GFY gen 2 will have me waiting in line. Thanks

That GFY2 need to grow on me. I want to like it.

It's like GFY and 2a had a baby. (Not to mention the entire market is flooded with lightning cuts.)
