    Omega X 12.0 FSP & Noveske KX-3 Question

I'm in the middle of a LMT 10.5 SBR build...Had the crazy idea of seeing if i could successfully fit the KX-3 completely (or most of the way) in the rail system. I have a standard front site on the LMT and I figure if I install the KX3 first and pull a sandwich move ( according to DD's internal spec #'s it should fit ) this is for pure ascetics ..I have built a coupe AR’s and want to try something super different... I have seen a couple Kirk flash suppressors covered slightly by the rail on some builds but I want to covered at least 75%...Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated I’m trying to order the rail by this weekend . Thanks for any help in advance

PS. if anyone sees any real danger in what I’m purposing, please feel free to point out I’m always receptive to useful information and comments

It won't fit under there... I'll find an image that has the ID of the major DD offerings

[eta] This is FR0GMAN's image, but explains it quite well.

Stick has pictures of KX3's under DD M4 rails, but that's it. No-go under Lite, Omega, or OmegaX as far as I know.

Looks like it won't work, not much to add from my end except...

I just wanted to say it made me chuckle that you accidentally typed 'ascetics' rather than 'asthetics' ... because asceticism " describes a lifestyle characterized by abstinence from various sorts of worldly pleasures..." (wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asceticism) which is how your life will be if you buy a bunch of stuff but your rifle doesn't work right :)

Or the LaRue 11.0 Gooseneck rail - it will fit under there I think.

Alternatively, the TROY and VTAC/TROY Extreme rails would work - they're 1.74" ID for the last couple inches, and will accomodate a KX3 (I'm going to run an OPS 14th under mine)
