    Mega Arms 5.56 Barrels

    Our friend Ben at AR15news posted about the upcoming Mega Arms 5.56 Barrels.


    Mega Arms has revealed that they are expanding their barrel line and are now producing AR-15 barrels along with their popular .308 AR barrels. The new 5.56 barrels are made from 416 Stainless Steel and feature a black Nitride coating inside and out, 1:8 Twist, 11 Degree Target Crown and M4 feed ramps. They will be offering both 16″ Government profile and 18″ SPR profile, both guaranteed to shoot Sub-MOA with match ammo, at an MSRP of just $269. Mega Arms does not do direct sales anymore so these are being shipped to dealers now and will be available for purchase in September. For now, check out the details and pictures below.


    Specifications:


    Mega Arms is now manufacturing 556 barrels in both 16 and 18 inches with a 1:8 twist.

    -Manufactured under the strict supervision of Mega Arms.
    -Chambered in 5.56 NATO
    -Machined with a Government profile / SPR Profile for the 18"
    -1×8 twist for accurate overall performance.
    -1/2-28 threaded muzzle.
    -.750 diameter gas block seat.
    -M4 feed ramps on extension.
    -11° target crown.
    -AR-15 Mid Length Gas system.
    -GUARANTEED TO SHOOT SUB 1 MOA @ 100 YARDS WITH MATCH AMMO!!
    -Made from 416 Stainless Steel
    -Finished in Black Nitride Coating
    -Weight 31.2oz, 35.2oz for the 18"

    Man I forgot you're the one with 2 Mega Billet sets. So Jealous, if you get say a 16 and a 18 to finish off your stuff. Mega needs to make a bcg now in the same nitride finish with the logo.

    Yes these barrels are pinnable.

    No they do not come dimpled.

    Are they planning on making any other length barrels? These barrels look amazingly machined just like everything that comes out of Mega.

    Im not even gonna try and compete in the pics department....lol

    I just got my mega 16" barrel in today...and man this thing is nice and clean. like mega is known for...Excited to get it together and see how it shoots...

    Rainier Arms has them in 16", 18", and 20".
