    AR10 .308 SBR

Anyone have or build a SBR 308?

What barrel length did you use? I'm looking at 12.5, but not a lot of options in stock right now.

I'm planning to use an Aero M5 Receiver Set.

I have not built one but I read a great article about it before and they said 12.5 or 13.5 is the way to go. I will try to find the article for you to read.

SLR makes super short .308 uppers. If you call I'm sure they can give the best advice as they are selling the uppers commercially.

I have a Sig 716 CQB which is a 12.5" barreled 308 with a Gas Piston system. I have had good results with it, functionally and accuracy wise. Like it a lot, but heavy for an SBR; upside is very little recoil

Don't you have an LMT MWS? Did you consider getting a 13.5" barrel for that? I find it interesting that LMT settled on 13.5"

    Swapping Barrels is for peasants.

Seriously though, a MWS barrel starts at $500. Right now I'm into a receiver set and rail for much much less than that. After the barrel, I'll probably be into the gun for $500. That's really the only reason I'm going this route.
