The newest addition! Looking forward to shooting it to see if I want to keep it.

Nice. If you decide to not keep it, send it to me for proper disposal.

I really like the HK45, but kind of just a range gun for me though. Large size and small magazine capacity kind of limit it.

I primarily shoot my as a host for a 45 TiRant

For being about the same size as a 1911, with the HK45 you gain two rounds of magazine capacity, the ability to have a multitude of trigger configurations (i converted mine to light LEM), and lose 13 or so ounces of weight. Obviously, it's an apples to oranges comparison in just about every other aspect. But the HK45 is a pretty slick package for a full size .45 pistol. And i actually carry mine, although it's usually in winter when i can wear heavier clothing.

I haven't shot my HK45 suppressed yet simply because i haven't purchased a threaded barrel for it yet (i bought it in 2011, which was years before i purchased my first silencer). Every time i catch wind of a good deal on a factory threaded barrel for it, they are sold out before i can grab one. i've got pistons for it though, so i'm ready to rock when i finally get a barrel.

I guess my point is that i don't consider the HK45's size and magazine capacity to be limitations.

I sometimes carry my 45C, but to each their own. I only carry OWB Raven Holsters. The 45 is too large IMHO to carry concealed. Maybe the appendix carry and IWB guys will disagree.

I just tell people my P30L bulge is a colostomy bag. End of conversation. I consider that a win-win.

Get one without the silly safety lever on the back. You'll grow addicted to those paddles!
