I need advice from some AK gurus
A friend of mine bought an M92 pistol. He wants to install a brace and new furniture up front.
As of right now the plate where a stock would normally attach is flat.
Please recommend parts of good quality and whatever else you are inspired to share and I will direct him to this thread.
I'm sure making the firearms brace ready is a do it yourself job but I've never done it so please let us know.
Thanks!

Great choice for an AK pistol, I absolutely love shooting mine!
CNC Warrior is where I got a few of the parts for my M92. Picked up a folding stock and the 4pc Krink brake. If anything is out of stock, you can call them and they might have it in the back (thats how my folder was). The folders and other stocks from CNC are perma-mount. You have to drill a hole in the flat back plate to mount the stock/adapter. They offer a kit that has a guide plate and drill bits to get it done.

US Machinegun is another good site to pick stuff up but its a little hard to navigate and they are usually out of stock on stuff. The stocks/adapters from USM come with a mounting point that goes between the pistol grip and the bottom of the receiver so you do not have to drill the back plate; if that sort of thing bothers you.

The Picatinny will allow multiple brace options and then it’s easily swapped to a stock if he ever stamps it. And I would certainly drill the trunnion before I replaced it.

The stormwerks pic rail is a great option. They have other adapters as well for other brace styles (AR tube). I have several Stormwerks adapters and hinges and have been very happy with them. This is the route I'd go.
I have always been happy with my CNC Warrior parts too.
RS Regulate has a rail out for them. RS is the bee's knees.
I like the TDI handguards a lot too. Clean and simple. And a great price point.

Coming around a little (but only slightly). I would some day like to add a decent representation of an older AK. Something Polish maybe, but they're probably too expensive for my casual curiosity. Need to get a 180s done.
