    4.5 lbs

So pretty much finished with project lightweight. Just waiting on a custom drilled gas tube from BRT to control my gas system (as opposed to using an adjustable gas tube). Also need a FCG. Without those 2 things I am just under 4.5 lbs. FCG seems to be in the 2.8 oz range and the gas tube will be 0.1 oz so it will be just over 4.5 lbs. This is without optics. Could have dropped a bit more weight by using a titanium MI barrel nut and using a pencil barrel instead of a gunner barrel . Decided that the extra tenths of ounces wasn't worth the cost and I like the gunner profile better than the pencil profile so this is where I stand.

    Upper Parts:
    1. Upper minus FA and port door.
    2. Faxon 16" Gunner barrel
    3. 2A Armament Titanium micro gas block
    4. V7 Titanium Micro Comp
    5. DS Arms Lightweight BCG
    6. Midwest Industries 10.5" CRLW Combat Lightweight rail (used the steel barrel nut, not the titanium)
    7. Black River Tactical Custom Drilled gas tube (to work with my lightweight parts)
    8. Breek Arms Charging Handle

    Lower Parts:
    1. KE Arms Polymer Lower Receiver
    2. Modified safety selector
    3. BAD lightweight Bolt Catch
    4. 2A Armament aluminum mag release
    5. Mil Spec Buffer with all weights removed
    6. Undecided FCG, drop ins will not work with the lower

Finished in Tungsten Duracoat by yours truly.

The KE looks better than those old Cav Arms lowers.

It does. We will have to see how it functions, though.

I’ll bet this thing is crazy to pick up.

I handed it to my 11 year old daughter and her eyes lit up. She was so surprised at how light it was. She doesn't like shooting heavy rifles since she is also small for an 11 year old.
