    Ballistic Advantage Barrel Sale

Highlights (in my mind) - largely because each amounts to getting a free QPQ pinned gas block on an already-discounted barrel......and economy shipping is free.

10.3" .223 Wylde, Hanson, Carbine Length, Stainless 1:8, Pinned block: $176
8.3" .300 AAC BO, Hanson, Pistol Length, QPQ 1:7, w/ pinned block: $168
10.3" .300 AAC BO, Hanson, Pistol Length, QPQ w/ pinned block: $165

And yes, I grabbed one of the 8.3" Blackout barrels and compatible melonited gas tube for it.....$183 delivered.

Interesting never saw they had a railed frame 1911 on the market until now. I haven't kept up to date on 1911 stuff in a year or so though. For the price those are going to be really hard to beat I would imagine. Comparable Springfield is going to run you 1k plus.

Deals and Hard To Find Items

So with Ballistic advantage having their summer sale I've been eyeing a barrel for the umbrella build. Looking around I noticed the 17.7" Hanson barrel. Can anyone, or BA, comment on this barrel?

Edit: went ahead and ordered it. So if I'm the first I'll post my findings once I get my build done. Which all I need now is the rail.

I have the 17.7 Hanson on my SPRish build. I like the light weight especially with the heavy Burris 1.5-8 34mm tube scope. Seems accurate so far @ 100 yds. Scope not properly zeroed yet, but hits are consistant enought for my bad old eyes with 77 gr practice ammo.

Cabela's has the Vortex Viper HS Long-Range 2.5-10x32 FFP on sale for $399. That's basically half off and makes for a lot of scope for the money. Very similar to the PST model but with no illumination and with capped turrets
