Anticipation Begins

I just ordered my first AR -

Its a Noveske Infidel (13.7") with KX3 permanently attached. I did a bit of lurking around and reading and decided Noveske was the best choice. I got the 12" instead of 10" VIS purely for looks. I'll post some crappy pictures when it gets here....probably in a few weeks.

I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Noveske is sure putting out a nice product.

You certainly did your homework, I've played around with that configuration, and its one I like.

I almost got an LWRC M6A2 but decided since this is my first I might as well start with a DI gun.
Now I'm shopping around for the best prices on a Bobro Shorty foregrip, an Aimpoint Comp4 and a Surefire weaponlight.

I talked to Sheri at Noveske on Friday and she said the rifle was ready - once my money gets there it'll be on its way...so probably right around Christmas.

Sherri is a lot of fun, and good to talk to. She will take good care of you.

I went over to my FFL tonight and picked up my first AR - very nice indeed. I guess they forgot the rail covers - no big deal, I sent an email off and I'm sure they'll be here soon. The baby blanket was conveniently in the middle of the living room floor - and my point and shoot camera did its mediocre average. Enjoy!

As I was - I don't know how to post pictures....they're on my hard drive. is there some sort of upload button I need to click I'm not seeing?

Go to www.photobucket.com or similar photo hosting site. Start an account and upload your pics. With photobucket, you will have an album page that shows thumbs of all of your pics. The second code line under each pic is the direct HTML URL. Click in that window and copy that addy.
In the post where you want to show the pic, click on the little icon that looks like a postcard or picture of mountain. Paste the addy into the popup and click OK. You will then see ". That code is the addy for your pic. Hit the preview to make sure you did it right and you should be able to see your pic in your post.

That's a great starter gun for an AR. Very, very nice!

Thats a great weapon for any level, never mind starting out.

Have you thought about an optic or sling for it yet?

Luckily I have a little time to pick the doo-dads. I've been thinking about it quite a bit. Part of me wants a Short Dot, but I know I don't need one. I was thinking about an Aimpoint T1 or Comp M4 with a Larue mount. That will have to wait until my bank account can recover a little bit...tax returns will help. I was thinking a VCAS sling - I've always been issued a 1 point or a 3 point, and never really liked them.
I think the first thing I'll do is get a Bobro Shorty VFG and a Surefire X300 and move the front sight back, put the light in front on top and see how that works - I'll get the remote switch - this is getting expensive....

That's one sweet looking rifle. Let us know how it shoots.
Well, my anticipation just started today. Just ordered a LMT 16 in. MRP from John.
