Rail System- Our sample of the Adams Arms Mid Elite Tactical was equipped with the Samson STAR M-EX-P Tactical Rail System. The STAR-M-EX-P is a free-floating / mid-length rail system that provides rails extending out beyond the piston gas block housing at the 3, 6 and 9 o‘clock positions.

Two unique features of the STAR-M-EX-P are the engagement tabs on either side of the rail system and a lower rail half which separates from the upper rail half via a quick release pin located directly in front of the upper receiver pivot pin lugs.

The engagement tabs on either side of the STAR-M-EX-P interlock with the upper receiver preventing loosening of the barrel nut and subsequent rotation of the rail system.

Pulling the quick release pin located directly in front of the upper receiver pivot pin lugs, frees the lower rail half to slide forward within the upper rail half. This allows for the complete removal of the lower rail half facilitating the installation of an M203 Grenade Launcher. This feature is also beneficial for cleaning of the barrel exterior and rail system interior surfaces after a hard day of use at the range or for that evening routine cleaning session at your next carbine training course.

Machined to Mil-Spec 1913 from 6061-T6 aluminum, the four rails of the system are identified in the typical fashion with engraved T-Markings. Hard coat black anodized, the monolithic rail system has an operating weight of 16.0 ounces and is equipped with rotation limited quick detach sling sockets at the rear of each side rail, as well as the front of the bottom rail.
