Just AR's Gallery
This might just get started come march. Wife said if I drag it out an not rush it I can do it. She said it had to be a UWone77 build pace....slow!

It's my old BCM beater that you helped me out with when I was having problems with my CMR shifting. :) It was originally a complete BCM rifle that I bought in 2009, but I had to replace the upper receiver earlier this year due to the problems that were evident when I installed the CMR. For whatever reason, barrel nuts are extremely loose on my BCM upper receiver, resulting in side-to-side play even when tightened down. Heck, the rifle looks new-ish in the picture mainly because it has a new handguard and a new upper, but it's seen over 5,000 rounds now, and never seems to have a problem with any ammo, be it Tula or even the yucky green lacquered stuff floating around.
Other than the obvious sights, stock, grip, and handguard, it's BCM everything except the upper, which is a JP forged receiver. The barrel is one of BCM's standard 16" midlengths, as hammer forged wasn't even out at the time. The sight is an Aimpoint H1 in an ADM mount. The front sight/light is the Rosch SL1, and the rear is a KAC 200-600 micro. I do run a blue Sprinco spring with an H-buffer, as well.
The Geissele G2S on my precision rifle (on the previous page of this thread) has me wanting to get one for this rifle, too.

I see you've put some rounds through that PWS, what are your thoughts?
Let my last thought not be, "if only I had my gun..."

I'm surprised to hear you use the term loud to describe an unported compensator designed for close range / indoor shooting. Could you elaborate on this some?
I have a 7" SBR that I plan to use in shoot houses and more low light training in the future. Recoil isn't an issue but noise, flash, and muzzle climb are. I have an 11.5" with a PWS FSC556 on it and the comp works great but is absurdly loud. The linear comps I use on the 7" now are a much more comfortable noise level but blind me at night.
Sorry for all the questions. I know there is no "perfect" solution, but I am hoping to find a solid overall compromise without having to spend a fortune testing different devices through trial-and-error.Last edited by 0uTkAsT; 21 December 2013 at 17:08.
