Bulova Precisionist if you're looking for big. It's the largest watch I own. Don't have pics currently but here's a link.

I read it wrong and too quickly...

My definition of a big watch is slightly different than others. The 44mm Panerai are my favorite size, just right on the wrist with metal, rubber or leather.

Lumtec has a lot of offerings in the 43mm+ area. They have some dive watches too if that's your thing.

You know, I really want to like these types of watches, but this and the $2000+ all metal g-shock just scream "look at me!! take me serious!!!" from a strip mall brand.

Yeah I thought you did ..... Or it was sarcasm lol. Think the smallest I can get by with is 48mm with a 9.5-10" band.

Guess the link was the black one. I have the original non-chronograph. It's for sure more of a dress watch, but out of the collection it's the largest and he asked for big lol. I agree the chronograph is a bit over done, face is too busy for me.

This is the one I have.

    Ha!

In that case, my recommendations are the following:

a 47mm Panerai (or homage of one) - you can ebay "homage panerai 47mm" or something like that

find a big egi if you can get one of the few off of Arnolds wrist...

    Lumtec:

    http://www.lum-tec.com/collection/cu...ss-600m-1.html - 48mm dive watch

    http://www.lum-tec.com/collection/cu...series/g2.html - 46mm bell/ross style

That one is nice and clean. Have you seen the Hamilton's of the similar design? Daylight or that type (the watch featured in I am Legend)

    ..large band? Metal? Rubber? Leather?

I usually advocate getting a custom leather strap made up for whatever watch you have...

Long! Leather, rubber or something like the NATO band.
