I have this exact same setup, same mount and mount plate but on the opposite side and using LOW made PA ACSS scope. For a secondary the smaller window isn't so bad as I thought it was for a handgun primary.

Technically I've had a M-LOK rail already on my SR-25, but I finally decided to join the modern age and put a M-LOK on a carbine. Just prior to doing that, I also bought one of the newer Surefire Scouts with the included mount. While I'm less than impressed with the SF mount design compared to the old ones, it is what it is. However, that leads me to wanting a better mount which means the first stop is to Arisaka.

So, I see that Will sells a mount for the newer Scouts, and it looks like it has the hole for what would be the screw that creates the pivot point, but I wasn't sure if the Arisaka mount actually allows the light to pivot. Whether it does or it doesn't (it's fine if it doesn't), does anyone know if that mount still allows the light to tuck under the top Pic rail like the other Arisaka Scout mounts? This assumes attaching the mount at the 2 (or 10) o'clock position.

I have one doing nothing, and it does pivot. make me an offer and it's yours. However I could use a Surefire pressure pad endcap in trade. Either way, send me a private message.

Thank you very much for the offer. Let me get past Christmas and I'll come back for reattack.

I know you don't have it installed, but does it look like it would seat the light below the top rail? The non-rotating mounts do that so a PEQ can sit on top of the light. The overall profile of the light is nice and compact.

Yes it does. But barely clears. Are you trying to use the sides at either 9 or 3, or the 10:30 or 1:30?

Here it is from the 3 o'clock, does exactly what you want if this is the position that you're wanting.
