Has anyone tried the 203gr subsonic projectiles for the 300 Blackout in a 308 ?

I've had a hard enough time to get them working properly on my 300blk let alone try them in anything else. Just haven't had good luck with these.

I only use 150 and 170gr flat points over Trail Boss in my .308 for subsonic loads. I'd be careful with 200+gr bullets...you'll need a decent charge to get it out of the barrel.

It doesn't have to be a subsonic load for me I'm just looking into a cheaper bulk alternate too the 208amax or 175smk

Are you talking about the 203g from Palmetto Bullets/BlackoutBrass.com? reddish hi-tek powder coated? I bought some of those for my 300blk and for the life of me I cannot get them to cycle right. I get scrapes on the bullets and they do not go 100% into battery. I've screwed around with them so much, I'm done with them. I thought of trying them in my .308 AR but I got someone on 300blktalk that may take them off my hands. If he does, I'm jumping on it to try and get some of my $$ back. I'm using the Hornady 150g FMJ and M80 pulls for my cheaper plinking stuff. I wanted the 203's for cheap sub plinking but oh well.. I'd rather have the reliability than the cheapness. There are some other alternatives coming soon... blackoutbullets has a 220g jacketed bullet for about .27¢ each and Highborn Ourdoors has a 200g coming soon (so they say) but no cost yet. I have 200 of the blackoutbullets 220g coming to try.

There were some 175 pull downs from some damned place for like $0.17 each not too long ago. Crap.... Someone pm'd me the info on M4c, but I can't remember the dealer...

Swissy, check out Xtreme bullets 150gr plated flat points. I use them for .308 subs but they're good at higher velocities. I got them on sale for about 10 cents per bullet shipped. I had subsonic on the brain seeing 300BLK and the bullet weight

Thanks, I'll do that. As much fun as I'm having with the 300blk SBR, I need cheaper loads with it! By far my new fav gun. Just need to find good sub rounds... 208 A-Max at 37¢ a bullet is not going to keep me in the good graces with the wife when it's so easy to blow 250+ a range session (and that's if I take other guns with me... if it's JUST the 300blk then basically triple the count!)
