    Sadness and Weekend shooting fun

well, I had to do it last Saturday. We made the heart wrenching, soul crushing decision to say goodbye to my best friend and constant companion Porter. https://www.facebook.com/swissy.jim/...00?pnref=story

I had to get out of the house, away from everything. My nephew, who had been helping care for the old man, and I hopped in my boat and motored off in a direction I have never gone. After a couple of hours I had no idea where we were but it sure was spectacular. Best of all there was not a soul to be seen anywhere. We never saw another boat. But we did we did see humpback whales, Dall porpoise, sea otters, seals, Bald Eagles and more. We found a nice bay to anchor in, dropped shrimp pots, and in the process of doing all this we passed a refrigerator floating in the bay. Of all things... a dorm room sized refrigerator! No door (no beer in it either) and floating about 2/3 out of the water. As we pulled along side to grab it and pull it aboard so we could dispose of it once we got back, I had an idea...

Nothing like wasting ammo and blasting some inanimate object to clear your head. Thankfully, the shrimping was pretty good. Would have been better if not for this big bastard

Playing with the fridge gave us some ideas... we may actually go back there and take some floating type targets with us and run a 'course' with them.

    Anyways... sucks I'm back home...

my condolences if you treat your dogs right they do become your best friend for life

Sincere condolences on the loss of Porter. "My Wife's Dog" Winston shown below. She would be devastated if anything happened to him.

I'm sorry about Porter Jim. I've lost a few in my life. I still miss Kliffa. I'm sure that Kliffa and Porter are both doing well on the other side of the bridge.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Over the years we've lost three dogs, and every time is very difficult. Even years later I still think about them and miss them.
