Heh.... when you shoot 5.56 out of a 5.5" barrel, there is definitely a lot of hate going on!

Your brain hating you as you rap off 180 db sonic popknots. Take that to an indoor range and everybody be crawlin' around, pukin' like they manned up and drank a Stone IPA.

Nah, I double up the ear pro. Use my Ops Core or Otto ears and even the shortest of barrels don't bother me. Plus the hate brake, much like the KX3, direct the blast forward, taking a little bite off the bark.

I was kind of wondering what kind of velocities your going to get from a 5.5" barrel... Doesnt seem like a TSX or bonded round would expand so far below their thresholds. Do you just run hot FMJ's and go for a critical organ or head shot.

I have been holding off on a 8.5" upper because I cant convince myself that the terminal velocities are worth it. 556 is all about speed...

The best way to survive a violent encounter is to be the one inflicting the most violence.

Old Mail is still mail, right?

Only the LMT lower is new to the bench, all the tools (except the Mehew punch) have been previously acquired.

I like all the FCD stuff. Been meaning to upgrade more of my bolt catches with ABC/R's

Didn't have much time to take a photo, but I'm super excited about this scope. 3-18x42 w/35mm tube.

Man, that has my dream scope specs. I recently got a 4.5-18, but 3x on the low end would be choice.

Phil - Thanks. I've been gunning for a deal on an IOR Valdada scope for a while, and it was worth the wait. I did some casual viewing with it a little before sunset tonight. Phenomenal glass! I was curious to see how such a comparatively small objective lens would stand up to my other scopes with 50mn to 56mm objective lenses. This scope gathers plenty of light.
