Rugged's new Oculus 22 rimfire can

First rimfire can by Rugged Suppressors, and I'd say it's pretty impressive for a 22lr can

    Oculus 22
    • No first round pop
    • complete stainless steel construction
    • short and long configurations
    • 5.25" long at 6.9 oz in regular configuration
    • 3.25" long at 4.3 oz in short configuration

I like what Rugged s doing.

I've been meaning to get a Rugged Can. Looks like modular cans are the new wave.

I am a big time Griffin fan (duh) but I could easily see myself with one of these. Me likey.

I have a modular can (Griffin Revolution 9) and honestly I don't think I've hardly ever ran it in the short configuration. I don't know why it is, I just haven't done it. I can see how having a shorter can would have a lot better handling on a pistol for sure, but in general the whole modular thing is still a little bit of 'it's nice to have if you ever need it' kind of a thing.

What's not a nicety though, especially on these rugged cans is the construction. Full on Stainless Steel baffles and full auto ratings for numerous calibers... hell yeah buddy! This could be a definite option for me. The return to zero baffles are also a HUGE plus. My Rev9 has that and yes it makes a difference.

I don't know how they can say that it has no perceivable first round pop though.

I also assume it's a thread on can?

    Compelling.

The hearing protection act can't get passed fast enough. Then again, nothing will be available when it does.

My Revo 45 is in jail until probably October. Dustin Ellerman did a great review side by side with a SiCo Osprey.
