It's mounted on a KRAM mount, both to give a little height and more importantly, to move the optic farther back. The KRAM isn't compatible with a BUIS, even a KAC sight. That's a Colt lower, so it's only a 4-position extension, and it's on the 3rd position. When I shoot that gun closer up with the RMR, I push the stock all the way out for my simian arms.

I have a love/hate relationship with the ACOG. Clear, light-weight, and easy to mount a RMR on top. But the eye-relief sucks when doing anything other than shooting in the perfect position. Still, that gun has gone out to 500y in that configuration with Federal M193 on B/C steel, so it's not all bad....unless there's wind.

I keed. I used to think the same thing, but that's the only way I can shoot an ACOG. Far back, no BUIS installed. If you notice, he has his stock extended a few notches, so I assume once gatordev gets a cheekweld, the optic needs to be at the end to get decent eye relief.
Mine is mounted so a buis fits (but don't use one) and I shoot it on notch 3 of 6.

The TA11 has really forgiving eye relief but it's not that much better than the TA31s. And I shoot mine all the time

Haha, I'm a one trick pony. 11am on a sunny day with the door open works pretty well.

How is the eye relief compared to the x32? Is one more forgiving than the other?

Looks like they only make the 2.5-10x42 regularly.....and maybe special runs of the x24 now and then. Disappointing. I have a Vortex 2.5-10x32 and I love the size.
