Don't quote me on this, but I was told (can't remember who, this was a few months back), that the likelihood of these AKs having any sort of real history is slim; that a lot of these AKs were used by contractors that sat around the base/FOB.
I asked my friend about this too (big AK guy), and he said (as Pyzik said), that this price is on the steep end; and not worth getting. Plus he said the quality of an AK from a Soviet-bloc country is superior to these. His words not mine; don't shoot the messenger ...
