12.5" Carbine SBR or 14.5" Middy Pinned?

I have a 14.5" and like it, and now I've started another build. Don't know if I'd like another 14.5" pinned or fill out a NFA form 1 for a 12.5". I've already started with a VLTOR MUR upper, Noveske Gen 2 lower and Geissele SD3G trigger. If I go 12.5" I'm gonna get a Noveske Crusader barrel unless someone has a better idea. Looking for advice from people who own both and which they like better.

Without a doubt, I would go with the 12.5". It does just about everything.

I have a Crusader on my SBR. With a suppressor on the end it's about the length of a standard carbine. It's a very handy package. Plus now I have a lower that can legally host different calibers and barrel lengths. Be prepared to wait 6 months for your stamp ...

Thanks guys, I've been leaning towards the 12.5" for awhile now.

Besides, with a pinned 14.5 you're going to be stuck with the particular muzzle device, or rail down the road. It's expensive to Unpin something and it will destroy the muzzle device.

Recently, I was considering swapping out a 12" DD Lite rail, but realized it was a pinned 14.5. Oops.
