AR MR2 (Magazine Release Restrictor)
I'm not an expert with the laws in "ban" states, but I thought this new item would be of interest for those of you that are behind the lines. The AR MR2 Magazine release is design to help you facilitate reloads faster for those that have to use a fixed magazine. The video claims this device will meet the definition of a fixed magazine, requiring disassembly of the firearm action. This will prevent an "assault weapons" definition in most ban states. As always check with your local and state laws.
Introducing the AR MR2. This is an upgrade to your current mag lock or factory magazine catch we’ve developed so you don’t have to register your AR Rifle or Pistol as an "Assault Weapon" with this latest bans.

This Magazine Lock is designed to conform to the law as written in CA Penal Code 12276.1 (a) which defines "detachable magazine" to mean any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required.
