Me too. My thing was you're only gonna see an inch of barrel anyways. Why live with machine marks and scratches I wasn't happy with.

Okay folks... How do you protect your stainless barrels? They show oils from finger prints line none other. I'm gonna give it a light coat of fireclean before I install the barrel. Is this a good idea? What do you do to protect them?

That's what I'm thinking. My noveske barrel didn't show fingerprints like this. Granted, this isn't a $450 barrel. I'll hit it with oil. Worst comes to worst I'll cerakote it. Recently got access to a shop with a huge oven (guy who owns it powder coats) and I have the rest of the equipment needed. 30 bucks buys me the stainless cerakote.
Which brings me to my next subject. Gonna coat the receiver set and rail in armor or graphite black, so I may just hit the barrel for shits and gigs.
