Has anyone tried any Underwood Ammo?
I am curious if anyone here has used or carried any Underwood Ammo in their EDC pistols?
I am wondering what people's ideas are about their ammo, particularly the Extreme Defense stuff.
Anything you know or heard or have experience with please share.

Never used or heard of them. What's the appeal? Specs? Price?
I've never seen to need to deviate from Federal HST's or Speer Gold Dots.

I will put up some videos from Military Arms Channel. IraqVeteran8888 also has some good videos on them.
Here is one of the videos.
It's pretty self explanatory if you watch the videos.

My current carry load is a 124gr HST. I am considering buying some of these and testing them out though.
I chose the HST on the grounds that it is a good bullet, but also I shot round after round and my gun will cycle it without fail.
That said these other rounds look pretty cool if they will feed reliably.
They are under $30 bucks on the underwood website.

I am using 124gr HST now. Again I chose it based on reliability as well as reputation. I also do not use +P rounds.
That said my thought to try something different is based around my carry weapon. I EDC a P938 which has a 3" barrel. While I don't plan on shooting anyone but if that ever happens there are probably 10,000 other things I should worry about other than the bullet. Freaking out (or not freaking out) and having adrenaline and all that is obviously way more important.
Since I carry a small gun and will lose velocity I was kind of curious about the barrier blind aspect. Those underwood bullets seem to check both boxes.
I don't know who Gary Roberts is but then again that's why I am asking this here (to learn).
If I can get reliable feeding, better penetration through barriers, and I don't have to worry about bullet deformation or other stuff like my HP clogging up it could be viable if the wound cavity is still comparable. On paper or in a lab it seems superior but I am no expert. It might be some whiz bang new thing but then again it might not be.
I still have no doubt that if anyone got shot with a standard velocity HST, even out of a pocket gun, their attitude would change. Not sure if changing would be worth it or not.

Also never heard of them. While shooting ballistic gelatin is a good starting point, I'm an advocate of using something with a proven track record. Nonetheless, interesting videos.

Been shooting it for years, good stuff. Well made and trustworthy. My wife uses the 147 +p gold dots in her EDC pistol. Personally I use Federals 135g +p Tactical bonded in mine. She likes the 147s because they are softer shooting. Underwood is a good company.
