New config - yea or nay?
I’ve been agonizing over which ARs to cannibalize to make room for new iterations. The 17.7” SPRish clone lost out. But I just couldn’t toss the A1 stock on the part-out pile. Too much nostalgia. So I put it on one of my SBR lowers to see how it works on a shortie. It looks a little out of proportion IMO on a 10.3” w/o the suppressor, but feels great.
So whadya think? Goofy or yummy?

With the suppressor it looks ok but still not my cup.

Instagram will love this. Capitalize and profit. Then shoot what you want to shoot, A1 or otherwise.

I’m definitely keeping the stock, but maybe better on a pinned 14.5 so I get the SBR lower back. Lotsa options. Instagram is not me though.

I'd just throw the A1 on an entirely new build. Either way, I' m a fan of short FSB uppers.

Looks good! Matches the upper and lower really well. But function beats aesthetics. Sweep the house with it, maybe it will make a great HD gun.
