Talking I ordered my BCM 14.5" mid length upper yesterday!

And I lay the blame entirely on Stickmans shoulders! After looking at the pics of his I HAD to have one. Now all I am waiting on is the shipping confirmation. Come on BCM! Ship that bad boy to me so o can shoot it this weekend!

Which setup/rail/handguard did you go with? Did you get the PWS muzzle brake on the end?

I have two of the 14.5" BCM mid-lengths (one with Troy TRX VTAC Extreme tube and one with Troy TRX Standard) right now and am very, very impressed with both of them.

I feel for you ghostman. I blame Stick for my fascination with SBR's. Speaking of which I'm waiting for a Rainier 10.5 UM upper with Thunderbolt BCG (soon to be standard).

But I'm also interested in Rob's question about the PWS brake. Did you get one on the upper? Was it the FSC556? I currently have this on my LMT 16 piston gun and although recoil was reduced compared to the original A2 it was supplied with, muzzle climb is still a bit much and the sound signature is incredibly loud! I'm just curious about how this performs on the 14.5 upper. Might be willing to try the Triple Tap if it keeps the weapon on point of aim.

Hatter I can tell you that on the two 14.5" mid-length gas-system BCM guns that I have with the PWS FS556 muzzle climb is literally near zero. The first time I shot one I felt like the muzzle was actually diving.

I have two complete 14.5" guns on T&E. The first isn't really "complete" but Paul sent me a complete upper and a complete lower. The second is a true BCM complete rifle with the new logo and is a production model (the other is something he put together at my request). Because of this I can't really comment on lead time.

I can tell you that if Paul shows something in-stock and you place the order, you'll get it quickly. In my experience everything from Bravo Company ships next day at latest.

I'm jealous Rob. That was what I was hoping for with it on the piston gun and the reviews I read were great but nothing for certain on the piston models. I'm fearing that the muzzle climmb is a result of the piston weight being driven back. I'm looking to build a 10.5 SBR with KX3 (standard on Rainier UM upper) and I may try the PWS556 on this as well.

    It’s called flinching.

In the past BCM has shipped very fast to me.

It's funny you mention that as I have seen this as a side-effect in some that have shot this gun wherein a flinch that they've always had becomes painfully obvious, much like when the gun runs dry unexpectedly or their encounter a malfunction.

BCM shipping has been very fast for me as well. I wouldn't write it off for this weekend quite yet.

These uppers are very nicely setup, I've mentioned in the past that I'm running one as a duty upper, and I have to also mention again that its hard to put into words how this upper shoots. There is a feel to it that separates these uppers from other midlengths.

I have ordered a few items from BCM in the past and they have always shipped very fast, I ordered the BCM 18" MK12 upper on a Wednesday and had it that Friday.

I really like the idea of a 14.5" mid length for my wife and the guys at BCM sent me the 14.5" below. Everything I have ordered has always come in perfect condition and shipped quickly.

BCM 14.5" mid length DD 12" Lite rail with PWS FSC556 comp
    BCM 18" MK12 Mod 3X-Bravo DD 14" Lite rail

I'm certainly extremely happy with the products and service from BCM and now very happy with the 14.5" mid length!

My tracking number says it won't get here until Monday the 16th. It's going to be a long four days.
