So, as I accumulate years, I?m discovering a taste for ?classic? things. Les Paul?s, muscle cars, etc. for guns, the 1911 was the start. Recently it occurred to me that I?d wanted one these since I was six years old, and since I?m not getting any younger, I?d better correct that deficit. This strong pull/ urge also intersected with the recent fad of acquiring things, articulately firearms made in your birth year.

This gun checked a lot of boxes, including that birth year thing, and admittedly it looks better than I do for the same age. The only con with this gun is it?s a ?Post-?64? example, missing that mark of desirability by two years, but when this 1965 Winchester ?94 popped up in my window shopping, I didn?t hesitate. Meet my 60th birthday present to myself. Please forgive the excessive use of leather; the gun is indeed mint everywhere, I?ve just liked that look forever.
