That ACOG may be anodized green. Trijicon did a limited run a while ago.

I really like that sponge camo job. Generally I do a light base coat first, with darker colors following, and a tiny mist of the light color back over the top to help blend/meld the lines, but that green base coat looks good with the two lighter colors over the top. The paint scheme kind of reminds me of the Colt Commando/XM177s used in the movie "Blood Diamond"

I really like the sponge / cotton ball method. Simple and effective.

Some of the paint is starting to wear and it's lightened up since I first sprayed it about 2 years ago, but it's still a tack driver. Loves 69gr SMKs the best.

Hunting with my 18" AR. You can see the stainless Rainier Match SPR barrel hiding under the rail. Ready to crush a deer with a 77gr TMK

    Man that rifle looks great.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. - James 1:2-4

Not an AR, but still a gun part. Still letting the paint dry off, but it looks good. Here's how I get my Multicam:

I used Desert Sand for the cream splotches. For the dark brown splotches, I used Black misted with Earth Brown. Next layer, I used Earth Yellow (misted with Light Green), and Dark Green. Final layer I used Earth Brown, Khaki, and Light Tan. Negative stenciling to generate the patterns (traced from a Multicam rifle case), all paints were from Aervoe's Camo or Digital Camo line.

The SBR had been painted 2014-JUL, and it's been about 2170 rounds later; you can see the wear's not been too bad, most of which has been generated by biathlons.

Spent some time in the woods. My younger brother shot his first deer, a freezer filling 4pt (and I shot some pictures)
