For those of us wearing uniforms, we lost 3 brothers and a sister today.
I don't recall 4 Officers ever being KIA at one time.
Without getting on a political rant, its looks like the making of another domestic terrorism incident.
In a business filled with people, only the LEO were shot. One person with a CCW could have made a difference.

Stick,
Not to taut education, but I have a degree (minor) in terrorism, so sans political slant...........I would most definitely put this in the category of terrorism due to the message it sends, be it revenge, intimidation, initiation, or any other symbolism that strikes fear into a people (community). All too often we dismiss incidents like this as something other than terrorism. What kind of message does this send to the community? The shooter needs to be brought to justice, dead or alive. These officers deserve better and so does the community they swore to defend. We need more responsible CCW holder citizens and there needs to be laws to protect them when reacting in events like this--in every state! Unfortunately, the state I live in prohibits any kind of CCW.Last edited by federalist22; 29 November 2009 at 15:08.

I was up in Seattle two/three weeks ago and there was another police killing (man had his house barricaded with improvised explosives in the oven). Anyone heard if this is some sort of retaliation??? Headed back up there tomorrow AM and am looking forward to the radio discussions.
My prayers to the families.

My heart goes out the the families and friends of the fallen officers. Even though police officers were the obvious targets I can't help take offense to this and hope justice comes swiftly to that POS for stealing these four officers from us.

It angers me just reading about it. I don't understand what makes these kind of people tick. Surely a poor childhood could lead to such disasters... but some things are beyond human.
My condolences,

Glad that officer got that POS today so we don't have to wait for a drawn-out court proceeding.

For those who would like to contribute in some way, here's a link for buying a Lakewood Police basball cap like the one worn by the Seattle Seahawk coach.
