AB Suppressor A-10 .30cal First Impressions
I was able to go to the range Sunday and put 200 rounds through between a few rifles.
Initial thoughts: Shooting 5.56 very little gas back in my face. Increased back pressure in ARs was most noticeable in my 11.5". 16" was barely noticeable.
IWI Carmel set to suppressed mode was by far the most pleasant to shoot. Extremely soft recoil. Zero gas at the nose.
IWI Galil Ace pistol in 7.62 was the least enjoyable to shoot suppressed. Extremely back pressured. Functioned but needs a KNS adjustable piston.
Conclusion: I need more suppressors.

I'm feeling confident that cans will be coming off the NFA purview soon. Whether that saves me the $200 is of little consequence; although its nothing to sneeze at, its the trust hassle I'm most interested in getting rid of.

I would love it just to not put more property on a registry. That's why it took me so long to get a suppressor. The tax is inconvenient, and I'm morally object to it but the registry is what really irks me. The wait also sucked for a long time.
The day they go off the NFA they'll be vaporware due to demand though. Which is going to suck too.Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Which 22 can did you get?
I know it's common to hear it, especially here, but if you can swing it I would probably get both. There are pros and cons to each rationale. Both of them are handy to have.
That said you can shoot your current can on an AR in the meantime while you get it sorted out. Other than just plain fun, if you need to shoot a raccoon in your trash at 1am the 9mm is the most practical thing if you don't want to wake up the neighborhood.

I ordered an AB Littlebird. The .22 will handle the racoon just fine. I live in a rural area now that bumps up to a lake community. But we are rural with just under 5 acres.
I think I'm going to end up with the 9mm next. I want to build a .350 upper and I could use the 9mm on that too so there is some bonus there.Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Great pics though and good times, I'd say.
