I was lucky in that someone brought a suppressed MP5K to the house the other day. I got to shoot it and play around with it, which answered a lot of questions about PCCs in general as well as that specific firearm.

What direction I will probably go is something different and not a PCC.

A couple of years ago I remember seeing a product that seemed really cool. It is a QD stock adapter from Stern Defense. I happened to find them on sale for $99 or about $118 to the door.

With that I can get a 9" 300BLK down under 18" which would easily fit in a backpack or something similar. With a supressor attached it would be under 24" should I have it in that configuration. With that QD it's quicker than inserting a magazine and I won't have to deal with special mags or anything else that could be picky in the way of reliability. I could have a regular full size rifle in something more than 9mm just like that.

The idea in my head is not to have that for a quick draw situation but rather if I find myself out traveling or otherwise I can have it at very least with me in a reasonably sized package and it will be accessible.

I have not fully decided on the total layout yet, but I'm definitely thinking about making it as lightweight as possible. I went ahead and bought the stock adapter but I don't have anything else in the way of components yet. I'm probably leaning towards 300blk but even that is not set just yet.
