A Unity fold to center mount would be nice, but that's another $140.

The guns that I regularly run for 2-Gun now all have LPVOs, so I've actually lost a lot of my RDS capability as I slowly upgraded optics over the years. I think at this point, I only have two EXPSes and a T-2 in play. Every other carbine has some sort of LPVO, even if it's a 4x, although several of those also have a backup RDS of some sort.
Thanks for the insight! I don't compete so my setups have kind of gone the other way - my carbines generally run EOTech HWS (preferred) or Aimpoints (when I care about weight) because as a civilian I know I won't be taking "self defense" shots at 100+ yards. So, the LPVO is the anomaly in my collection and it's generally there as my "ranch" gun where I might want to at least ID targets out to 350 yards.

Have you tried any of the more vertical grips? My wrist hurts just looking at these pictures.
I forgot to reply to this... I'm game to try a more vertical grip, but I haven't found one that has the same "girth" as the MIAD w/ the full back strap. I like the larger palm swell as it feels like I have more control when only using one hand to manipulate the rifle. Some of that might be mental, but I don't think a lot of it is.

I ended up wanting to be able to shoot my guns and for a while after the local range closed, the only way to do that in a dynamic environment was the local competition. I've since found another range, albeit farther away, but now that I've have sunk costs, well...might as well keep them on there. It's not as bad now, but for a while that 2-Gun started to have silly "feats of strength" type stages where you needed to have decent magnification to even see a plate at distance (like 8" plate at 200...sucks if you have an old 4 MOA T1!). The stage design is more boring now due to the new range location, but at least it's minimized that nonsense.

I'd recommend the BCM Gunfighter Mod 2 if you haven't tried one. If you had a normal trigger guard I'd say you can save a few bucks with the Mod 3, but it has a built in lip to bridge the gap to the trigger guard which might be a little tight on your setup. Both are thicker than the Mod 0 / 1 but retain the more vertical grip (although not quite as extreme as B5 Type 23, but that is relatively skinny). I'm a large frame man (6' 5") with large hands, and the BCM is pretty much my go-to grip.

I'll have to take a look. I'm guessing the Mod 3's tab is a polymer version of the little Ergo gappers that I use for the GI trigger guards so it doesn't cut up my middle finger? If so, then yeah, looks like the Mod 2 would work with that Magpul guard. Thanks.

Nice. What's in that first slot on the handguard, near the upper?

It's a RSA sling attach point. Initially that was where I was putting the sling, but when I had to make room for the LAM and switch, it wasn't an ideal place. So...I was testing positioning the sling out forward as you see it but I didn't have a MLOK paraclip attachment point yet (picked on up yesterday). That range trip was to confirm the setup works before I remove the RSA and install the new mount up forward where the QD currently sits (and I can go back to a sling that's actually comfortable). Thank you for attending my TED Talk.
