We've avoided too much active discussion about avatars in the past, save to say that we've asked our members to keep them clean and safe for work/family viewing; that said, we've never really offered an alternative for those who might prefer something that simply underscores their affiliation with the site.

We now have a "standard" avatar for our members, which appears below, and which can be installed easily enough by going to SETTINGS > EDIT AVATAR, and selecting the "Pre-defined Standard Avatar" seen below.

Again, there is no requirement (or expectation) for our members to use the default avatar, as many obviously prefer to use their own. The decision is yours: we simply wanted to let you know that you now have an option.
