When the discussion turns towards weapons, the M60 machine gun quickly comes to mind with regards to safety wire, where safety wire was used in the security of the Gas Piston housing. (See Figure 2)

The option on the ZROC of additional light security through cotter pins or safety wire, could be beneficial to military operators who often find themselves securing accessories to their weapons with plastic zip-ties or 550 cord.
