I found a used Valmet 62S the other day at a local dealer. What do you guys think of those??? This one has the milled lower which is heavy, but, it supposidly helps in accuracy as well as the barrel the Finns use...BTW, what do you think a well used version is worth?? Wood buttstock and handle, with the plastic forend with the holes...Like I said, used, possibly well used.
I forgot to mention that this is the 7.62x39 rifle and uses standard (any AK) magazine.
Thanks,

600+ rounds and not one malfunction. (durr, its an AK)
I did have to file the mag catch a little to help with some Chinese mags that stuck. Releases all my mags perfectly now.
I'm going to add a PWS FCS47, and a Red dot topped Ultimak to her soon.
She'll be putting 1500 rounds downrange at a Carbine class this Fall.
I definitely don't expect it to stay as pretty as it is much longer.
As this will be my go to rifle with training and competitions till 5.56 ammo comes down.
I have a CQB match this weekend, and will be using her.
Oh yea, anybody know where to get a Micro T-1 on the cheap?
I don't wanna run a full size Aimpoint if I can afford the T-1..

Well, My rifle class is this weekend.
Looks like there's gonna be a hurricane hovering on us as were slinging lead.
This is going to be a good test on it.
2 Days of Rain, Mud, Rocks, and Gunpowder...
I'm excited...

The first day till noon Hurricane Hanna was still whipping and drowning us with water.
Then like an act of god, Skys turned blue and birds were chirping.
But all was not well, with 130% humidity and 90deg heat baking us, it was definitely a hot one..
I was the only person running an AK, but shot better than most.
My HDI AK-103 has gone 2100 rounds no cleaning, with 1500 rounds put through this past weekend at a Carbine Class.
1 malfunction, but it was a SQUIB load of Wolf.
Left the case and only went 1/2" into the barrel.
Other rounds slammed into the bottom of the SQUIB as they tried to chamber.
Had to beat the SQUIB out with the cleaning rod and magazine as a hammer.
SQUIB round..

Me too.
I also had a close call with a clogged muzzle.
I was coming up from prone to run up to cover, when an instructor accidentally tripped me and my muzzle ate the shit out of the dirt/rocks.
I immediately noticed this and just smacked the "debris" out while running.
With a standard slant break or Birdcage I would have probably had problems clearing the muzzle.
