AIM Surplus Black Nitride Bolt Carrier Group
Ben from AR15news alerted me to these AIM BCG's as I've been looking for a nitride coated Bolt Carrier Group to run in my gun. I've wanted to try the nitride coated carriers, ever since another manufacturer was trying to perfect the nitride coating, but had a lot of issues with the product and customer service. Checkout AIM Surplus to order and get more information.
I'll try to post a review down the road once I get it going on a gun.

That picture looks like a FA carrier.

Yes, full-auto. Description on the AIM website says "AR-15/M-16" and the one pictured is clearly a F/A carrier.

I'm sure this question gets kick around a boatload of times and what not, but to my understanding isn't the 9310 bolt much more durable?
BRUUUHHHH....Do you EVEN OPERATE?!?!

Voodoo_man. Is there a reason you don't like the FA version. I have one M16 carrier in one rifle, and the lighter AR (Fail Zero) in another. The M-16 BCU feels, as far as I can tell, to be smoother cycling. That's out of a 16" mid LMT Lower and Upper. I just received a third (it's FA) a Rainier, and am hoping that when I get everything together, that it, too, will feel smoother cycling.
I'm just curious, as to whether it's a technical issue and you've had problems with heavier BCU's in the past? If it makes any difference, I use H buffers in both, and will be using an H buffer in this new build, as a starting point.
Thanks,

I put one of these through a limited test today. For a few mags of controlled fire with PMC .223, it worked perfectly in the 14.5" middy.
That carbine's upper is my test platform for nitrided components with Froglube - the barrel, flash hider, gas tube and now BCG are all melonited. So far, I like the setup a lot, but I'll probably play with an H buffer now that the BCG is sorted out. I'll try to provide an update at 1K increments for this component.

Curious if anyone else is running one of these and how is it holding up? Coating? Any problems?
Btw, these BCG's and the NIB ($129 models) now have a C158/mp tested bolt instead of the 9310. Bryan says it will be a standard thing from now on..Good deal IMO for $100 bux, although the nitrides are not in stock , he says soon, The NIB ones are back in stock..
And UW...your pics are jacked as you are uber-tactically to popular and your shit is blocked......lol
