Thanks, I just wish the PVS-27 was personally owned and that I knew how to take better pictures.

I have an optics nerd question... How is the ACOG able to focus on what is basically a flat image a few inches from it? I'm familiar with NVG usage on a person, but when I think about when I had my ACOG on a rifle with a FSP, it was all blurry. How is it able to focus on the image plane of the NVD? Kind of cool that it can.

I definitely can't give you a technical answer to your question. The clip on sighs are designed to be run in front of magnified optics. You have a focus knob which allows you to dial in the clarity. I will say the PVS-27 is overkill for a 4 power optic (it's normally not run on the LWRC pictured), but the image quality with the ACOG is very good. I'm going to be out of town for a while, but I can see if I can get some pictures through the combination when I get back if you're interested.

I don't doubt your answer, so please understand that. However, the fact that you're saying that it works well makes my brain hurt. It would be interesting to play with it to see the "why."
Seriously, though, thanks for the answer. I wonder if it can compensate for the focal length of the optic. I wouldn't think so, but I'm not that smart on optics.

Well, after months of waiting, it's finally done! (Minus optics, which are sitting at the house, and a bipod which isn't necessary for operation)
Jumping for joy when I finally got this rail in my hands this afternoon. Rail is light for 15" and very manageable size, my hands aren't huge. Details are as follows.
Seekins Precision billet lower
Rainier Arms 15" Force Keymod rail
Rainier Arms RAC comp
18" Black Hole Weaponry barrel
Geissele SSA-E trigger
Rainier Arms raptor
Rainier arms BCG
Stock will be changed to magpul PRS or Luth-AR adjustable stock.

The 15" Force Rail looks great. The LUTH Stock would also go well with that. Keep up dated on which stock you go with.

Short term I'm thinking I'm just going to put the nikon 3-9x p223 on it that I have laying at home. Optics have always been hard for me, there's so many choices. I was thinking for a long time I was going to go with one of the vortex viper PST models, but we will see how funds look.
That brings me to my next question, what do you guys think of the Primary Arms scopes? No first hand experience with any of their products, but my .300blk is sitting at home waiting on an optic too, and I just saw their 1-6x 7.62x39/.300aac optic.
Here's my .300 blk
LRB upper/lower
Noveske 16" barrel, pistol length gas
Seekins 12" BAR
AAC Blackout comp
Spikes trigger
Magpul furniture
